Jelani Johnson

May Sister Entertainment is excited to have Jelani Johnson at this year’s the Business of “Show” Bootcamp and Roundtable Discussion.

Jelani Johnson is a talent manager at Generate. Johnson is a graduate of Columbia University where he double-majored in History and Anthropology. After briefly working at the Creative Artists Agency, Johnson transitioned to management in 2010. His client list includes actors, comedians, writers and directors. In addition to his work in entertainment, Johnson also serves on the Board of Directors (as Vice-President) for The HERO Institute Foundation. This non-profit organization provides research, data and analysis to organizations whose actions affect African American youth ages 12-25. Their mission is to cultivate social inclusion, leadership development and high quality intergenerational connections.

Sheldon Candis

May Sister Entertainment is excited to have Sheldon Candis at this year’s roundtable discussion.

Sheldon Candis is the director/writer of the film LUV starring Common and Megan Good. Candis was born in Baltimore, MD and is a graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts. While working and pushing LUV through the Film Independent Directors Lab he worked on other projects including music videos, corporate work, and a short documentary on homeless men in Japan which was funded by Scion Easy for Giant Robot Magazine. LUV premiered at Sundance and is set to be released in November 2012.

Wendy Raquel Robinson

May Sister Entertainment is excited to have Wendy Raquel Robinson at this year’s Acting Bootcamp and Roundtable Discussion.

Wendy Raquel Robinson is a cum laude graduate of Howard University, School of Fine Arts. She is an actress most commonly known for her role as Regina Grier in the sitcom The Steve Harvey Show and Tasha Mack on the hit show The Game. Mrs. Robinson has also had roles in Two Can Play That Game, Rebound, Something New, and 35 and Ticking just to name a few. In 1995 Mrs. Robinson founded a theater arts school for children in Los Angeles called Amazing Grace Conservatory where she currently serves as the executive director.

Dallas Jackson

May Sister Entertainment is excited to have Dallas Jackson at this year’s screenwriter bootcamp and roundtable discussion.

Dallas Jackson is a graduate from Howard University, School of Communications Class 1994. He is a writer/producer and President of DJ Classicz, the urban/youth division at Davis Entertainment with a first look deal at Twentieth Century Fox. Currently Dallas is writing and producing the “Last Dragon” remake at Sony Pictures Studios. The RZA from Wu Tang Clan fame is also producing while Samuel L. Jackson is set to star. Production is scheduled to start in 2013.
